The Herald is looking for striking digital images that celebrate your community to use on our annual guide cover. We are especially interested in images that showcase the interesting faces at places in your town. Be creative and show us why you're proud of your community!

 

Examples of images we like are local sports teams celebrating, school activities, photos that showcase people having fun and participating in community traditions and events, fairs and festivals, and don't forget the smiling faces!

 

Photo captions must accompany all submissions and include the people's names, location the photograph was taken, a sentence or two describing the photo and the photographer's name. Please clearly label everyone in the photo from left to right with first and last names. 

 

Photos must be digital files, .JPEG format at the highest quality setting, in color and at least 3 megabytes.

 

Film prints and photographs created with smart phones or retouched using camera apps and filters will not be accepted because they don't reproduce well. 

 

Photos that have been digitally altered beyond cropping and reasonable adjustments to exposure will not be accepted.
